Some Testimonials

“Just a big “thank you” to SOC. You are an absolutely wonderful organization. Mr. Tom L. came to my auntie’s house for the third year to do her income taxes. My aunt is ninety-one and has used a lot of your services and everyone is great. Thank you for all your great deeds.”

“Gia, Thank you for all your kindness to me since I’ve been at Park Place. I truly appreciate all the help and support you have been to me in the past months.”

“Gia, I wanted to tell you that there are many nice people to meet on your trips. I met another widow last year on the Genitti’s trip and we’ve become very good friends – thanks to SOC.”

“Just want you to know my holiday package arrived by the Mayor of district one. It was such a surprise to finally meet Mr. Cavanaugh and receive such a huge Christmas package with all useable items, ones that we seniors really need, which reduce our shopping trips. So much appreciated now that I rely on a cane and mini walker. Thank you again and again! Also want to mention my joy in being asked to see the Rockettes FREE on the 14th. I wasn’t the only one with a cane, praise the Lord. It was a nice day out. The package came the day of the snow, and I felt really “down” being snowed-in (felt like prison). Well, that all changed. I am still snowed-in but know they’ll come sometime today. I can wait. Please realize that if it weren’t for SOC some of us would have to leave our homes that we have been in for years; myself, 42 years. So a little waiting doesn’t hurt. I am a member of SOC snow removal. God bless you, each and everyone.”

“Just a note of “Thanks” from my hubby and myself for the very kind help and care you provided for us on “flu shot” day. My husband received a flu hot from his doctor for years – due to serious health conditions, but for the last three years, his Dr’s office did not provide them. So the last two years, we have had to wait in long, long lines at grocery stores. Upon hearing about SOC, we can only say that you and ALL the people that helped you went way, way beyond the call of duty to see that ALL of the seniors were graciously taken care of. Thanks again and God bless all of you.”

“Barb, I hope to meet you someday. You are such a kind, compassionate person. You have made such a difference in my life sending Nancy, Peter, Jean and Neil to drive me to my numerous doctor appointments. It takes a special person to be a volunteer. They deserve to be commended and you too. Thanks for being such an understanding person.”

“Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers. They helped lift my spirit. I really appreciate your thinking of me. I think of you often and I miss you all. I am doing very well. I hope I can come back to deliver again. God bless you all!”

“All of the people of SOC are exceptionally wonderful. I’m deeply convinced and I know that if it were not for the people of SOC, I would have been dead a long time ago! There have been so many prayers, cards, notes letters, telephone calls, visits and also food. I appreciate very much all the acts of love, kindness, support and assistance from everyone at SOC. I’m so deeply grateful.”
